About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding the Defense Information Systems Agency's solicitation for upgrading the security system at the San Antonio data center. The solicitation seeks to replace the existing access control system, including door locks, releases and high-security hardware. It will also upgrade the closed circuit television surveillance system with new cameras, monitors and network video recorders to be installed in three areas. Vendors must estimate cable lengths and will be responsible for cable disposal. DISA will provide cable tray plans and storage for removed equipment. The existing cabling can be reused if tested successfully. All new equipment must be installed, including access control boards. The incumbent contractor is Johnson Controls. The pre-proposal site survey is scheduled for June 7th and responses to vendor questions will be provided after award. A five-day extension may be granted upon request.
