Government Response to Industry Questions
1. Price: The Leap Frog show cycle usually involves them doing a four-day travel/show cycle, sometimes a longer one.
· Day 1 – Travel to the show city
· Day 2 – Planning & Practice Jump(rehearsal)
· Day 3 – Planning & Show Jump(actual demonstration)
· Day 4 – Travel back to San Diego or to their next show city
Are the 12 days being ordered, literally 12 days, or are they 12 performance cycles, to include the days spent for planning, rehearsal, actual demonstration, and post demo analysis?
The Government anticipates that the SME will attend three (3) demos each year for a total of twelve (12) day; to include travel.
2. Price: If it is the case that the 12 days covers the full show cycle, which would include 12 trips and 48 on-site days, then the $5,000 travel budgets seems low. Is this a not-to-exceed number?
No.
3. Price: 40 Hours of query analysis does not seem a lot for entire ordering period. Is this a not-to-exceed number?
No.
4. Section 12 Applicable Documents: Can you provide us the Web Links to documents, denoted as “Available on Request?
Yes, web links and PDF referenced in Section 12 to be provided.
5. Section 7 Contractor Travel: Will the SME travel with the demo team i.e., in same aircraft, vehicle, or does the SME make its own arrangements?
SME is responsible for making their own travel arrangements.
6. Section 7 Contractor Travel: 7.1 states “Contractor personnel may be required to travel to participate in appropriate training or events as listed in the table below”. Where is this table?
The table referenced in section 7.1 was a typo and has been removed.
7. Section 8 Safety: Who is the ultimate authority on safety/risk assessment, Government or SME?
The Government.
8. Section N/A: Will the SME be required to carry public liability insurance?
That is a business decision that the Contractor/SME will have to make.
