1. What are the brand names of the existing IDS and CCTV systems currently in operation?
| a. IDS | - DMP |
| - BOSCH/Radionics | |
| - Lenel |
| b. CCTV- PELCO | |
| - BOSCH | |
| - Panasonic | |
| - Sony | |
| - Verint | |
| - TruVision | |
| - Intellex |
| c. Access Control System (ACS) | |
| - Lenel OnGuard | |
| - Lenel Picture Perfect | |
| - Continental Access |
2. Will we need to make sure the new system interfaces with it?
Answer: Question 1 (above) identifies the brand names of IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems currently in operation. The vendor is expected to perform maintenance on these systems. For any equipment replacement, the vendor must preserve the integrity of the operation of the system. Recommendations for complete system replacements must include a return-on-investment analysis.
3. Also, is the current system "open end" or is it "closed end”? For example, if it is GE only GE techs can work on it, and we would need to be a GE Dealer. If it is open end, like Honeywell, it is open to certified technicians.
Lenel OnGuard as well as the picture perfect is a proprietary system (Closed end). Technicians must first be Lenel certified/licensed with a VAR number in order to be able to work on their equipment/software.
Continental Access is not proprietary.
PELCO/BOSCH are not proprietary.
4. Will you be seeking for your system to integrate into your Building Automation System? If so, what BAS system do you currently have? Is it Niagra or Tridum based?
We do not have a BAS System.
5. Will technicians and or the Prime Contractor be required to have a facility clearance? If so, what level? Does the requirement extend to potential subcontractors?
Yes. Contractors (and potential subcontractors) must have Facility Clearance (minimum SECRET)
6. Is this project fully funded?
Yes
7. Are there incumbents on the maintenance of your existing system?
No, this is a new requirement
8. Could you provide further explanation of the type of system you're looking for (sprinkler, Fire Alarm, etc.)?
IESS systems capabilities include: Intrusion Detection, Access Control, Video Surveillance and Recording, and Perimeter or Early Warning Detection
9. Can you tell us what access control system is currently deployed at the sight (MDI, Lenel)?
East Coast - Lenel (Picture Perfect) and Continental Access.
West Coast - Lenel OnGuard
