Laredo, Texas ELECTRONIC PROJECT MANAGEMENT (ePM) SYSTEM
ELECTRONIC PROJECT MANAGEMENT (ePM) SYSTEM 01 30 00-1
SECTION 01 30 00
ELECTRONIC PROJECT MANAGEMENT (ePM) SYSTEM
1.1 GENERAL
A. GSA requires the Contractor to utilize GSA’s electronic Project Management (ePM) system on this project.
The (ePM) system will be provided by GSA to accommodate information exchange needs of the Project as well as training and limited support. GSA’s web-based ePM system is a significantly customized version of
Meridian Systems’ Proliance Construction Management Software.
B. The ePM system will be maintained continuously through completion of the Construction Stage. All communications between the GSA, Contractor, and other entities involved in the execution of the Project shall be captured and recorded in the ePM system. User licenses and training will be provided for GSA and
Contractor members of the Project Delivery Team who will require access to the ePM system.
C. The intended electronic design and construction documents stored in ePM contain various levels of sensitive but unclassified (SBU) information, as defined by PBS Order 3490.1A. The ability of the GSA to provide for the safety and security of persons and property under its charge and control is a major concern of the GSA.
Security procedures are necessary to reduce the risk that project information will be used for dangerous and/or illegal purposes. Most email systems and FTP sites do not meet the necessary security requirements for the transmission of electronic SBU information, therefore the ePM system will be the only acceptable means for electronically transferring SBU project information. *Physical transfer of information following
SBU protocols is still acceptable.
D. Contractor shall use ePM system for communications with GSA and other entities involved in the Project.
Electronic storage and transmission of information via the ePM system shall comply with GSA's Document
Security Requirements.
1.2 PROJECT COLLABORATION AND DOCUMENTATION
A. The Contractor is required to accurately post, review, respond and collaborate with other team members using the following features and/or workflow processes with the ePM system. GSA reserves the right to require the
Contractor to utilize ePM for additional project activities not listed below.
1. Project Team Directory: The Contractor shall provide an updated directory of contact information for all companies, subcontractors and project team members who are engaged on this project to be entered into ePM.
2. Contract Management: The Contractor shall administer applicable contract tasks related to the project within ePM; including maintaining the contract schedule of values, contributing to contract modifications, and invoicing. All supporting documentation related to these processes shall be uploaded as attachments to the source information.

Contractor shall be responsible for reporting potential Change Orders and logging requested Change
Orders in ePM. All supporting documentation related to these processes shall be uploaded as attachments to the source information.
5. Daily Construction/Progress Reports: The Contractor shall maintain construction progress reports, and daily reports/logs in ePM.
6. Safety/Inspection Reports: The Contractor shall maintain inspection reports on materials and/or workmanship (including fire reports, injury reports and safety notices) in ePM to assure compliance with all contract requirements.

HOW THE PROJECT IS SET UP IT MIGHT BE BETTER TO USE ePM ONLY AS THE
REPOSITORY OF WORD OR SPREADSHEET PUCHLIST DOCUMENTS
