UNIT PRICE SCHEDULE NOTES AND DRAWINGS:
The following notes and drawing explain and define the line items of the Price Schedule. The notes are numbered to refer to the appropriate line item. These notes are drawings from a part of the Price Schedule and Contract Specifications.
GENERAL NOTES
· See “Area Conversion Chart” which is attached for Work Item 46. It may be used to convert outer diameter of pipe insulation to surface area of insulation in square feet per linear foot.
The Conversion Chart may also be used to determine the surface area of “bared” piping to determine WI 43 costs.
· The unit costs for all work items which either remove ACM or which remove ACM contaminated non-ACM have already included the costs of packaging, transporting and proper disposal of the resulting Asbestos Waste at “approved landfills”.
· The unit costs for all work items which provide materials (e.g. scaffolding, plywood, wafer boards, planks, etc.) have already included the costs of transporting them to the project site, and to the work area, and back out of the work area, etc., and cutting costs, if required.
· For fittings (elbow, tees, valves, etc.) add 3 L.F.
1. Area = (D x 3 ft. where D = outer diameter in feet
2. Asbestos Contractor shall use this formula to calculate area to be used for each fitting.
· For each flange add 4 LF . Area = (D x 4 LF where D = outer diameter in feet
a. Asbestos Contractor shall use this formula to calculate area to be used for each flange.

D. At the completion of the application, the factory representative will be required to certify that for each roof and floor system configuration on which the F/P was sprayed, that the specified FR (Fire Rating) in hours was achieved.
This requires that the factory representative check:
1. Verify the mix used by the Installer.
2. Verify that the minimum thickness of F/P has bee applied on each different surface.
