Construction Manager as Constructor, for the John C. Kluczynski Federal Building Tenant
Office Buildout, Amendment #0014 Clarifications/Questions after posting Amendment #0013
1. In Amendment #0013 it sounds like lockers and storage cabinets are part of the FFE package, not in our bid, which is strange because they are shown in elevations on sheet A60. Is this the same for the gun lockers, not to be included?
RESPONSE: The Storage cabinets and Lockers, including the gun lockers, are not in contract. They will be provided by the tenant. They were shown for reference.
2. We received the most recent amendment for this project (Amendment #13). For scheduling purposes, we just wanted to confirm the due date is going to remain on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
We are asking because in the current amendment it states that RFI’s will be accepted until Monday, October 16th. With receiving the RFI’s, getting the answers together and issuing another amendment, we were just wondering about the tight schedule between these dates. If you could just give us a heads up either way, it would be greatly appreciated. We want to make sure of the bid dates for the projects. Thanks
RESPONSE: The due date will be extended until Tuesday October 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm CST. If you are sending an electronic copy, please send to the Contracting Officer, Kathern Williams at kathern.williams@gsa.gov. Please cc both Alexandra Huber (alexandra.huber@gsa.gov) and Anthony Walton (anthony.walton@gsa.gov)
3. We have just a quick clarification question regarding the proposal document inclusions for this project.
In one area of the documents it states submit three projects for review as part of our proposal and in another area it states at least three. We just want to verify that if we were to submit more than three;
they would all be accepted and reviewed as part of our overall proposal package. Any information that you can provide regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated.
RESPONSE: Please submit at least three and no more than five. Any submissions over five will not be reviewed.
4. Does the rubber strip and mastic that runs along the floor between the baseboard and exterior windows need to be removed or does it remain in place?
RESPONSE: The material described is positive for ACM. As long as the material will not be disturbed during renovation activities (demolition or construction), it does not need to be removed. If this material is going to be disturbed, a licensed abatement contractor must remove the material in those areas.
