Questions & Answers 001
GS05P11SLD0111
Question 1: Since the initial contract term is a five year term with the initial bond term only being three years, does the surety have the option to non-renew without causing a default under the bond for years four and five of the contract?
Answer 1: The surety would need to renew the bond for years 4 and 5 of the base and new bonds would be needed for each option period. The Contract requires bonding for the entire period, so bonding is required for all years.
Question 2: Does this proposal require a Bid Bond Guarantee Requirement and a Performance bond Requirement? Must these bonds be submitted with the Phase One section or the Phase Two section of the proposal?
Answer 2: Yes, please see FAR 52.228-1 and 52.228-16 in Section I of the solicitation. Also see Section L of the solicitation. The Bid Bond can be submitted as an attachment to your proposal. All proposal documents are due on the closing date of the solicitation.
Question 3: What is the incumbent’s current staffing level for this contract?
Answer 3: The incumbent contractor currently has 13 employees.
Question 4: Is the incumbent eligible to bid on this contract?
