Amendment 02- Additional Q/A
Pre-Proposal Conference
Interior Renovations of North Public Lobby
US Post Office and Courthouse, (POCH), Pittsburgh, PA.
April 13, 2010
9:00 A.M.
Questions:
1. Where are the drawings and specs posted?
Response: All government postings are located on www.fedbizops.gov. Only contractors registered in the Central Contractor Registration may access the drawings and specifications portion of the solicitation.
2. Are the drawings only scaled in metric dimensions?
Response: Yes, all GSA drawings are scaled as metric. No Standard architectural scaled drawings are available.
3. Are only professional photographers required to take project photos?
Response: No. Professional photography is not required. Photography will be as per the specifications (01322) and/or scope.
4. Where will the contractors’ field office be located?
Response: The field office will be located in the north end of the basement (a portion of the old FBI space).
5. What are the expectations on intervals for rodent/pest control, i.e. once a week, once a month, etc?
Response: Minimal interval to be based upon exterminator’s recommendation.
6. Can Freight elevator be used to transport debris to 2nd floor dock for load out during North Lobby Demo/Renovations?
Response: Yes. The contractor can use the freight elevator to transport debris to the loading dock. Dumpster space is not provided by GSA. Contractor is responsible for providing all dumpsters. The contractor must place, use and remove dumpsters within a 24 hour duration. The location and dates for dumpsters must ne coordinated with the Building Manager and the CM service on site.
7. During the pre-bid meeting GSA stated “No addendums had been issued to date”. However, three (3) addendums are identified on fedbizops for this project. Please clarify.
Response: The actual scope of work and solicitation was not amended. The additional postings appearing as “amendments” were to covert cad files to pdf due to technical concerns in opening these files. Therefore, no previous acknowledgement was required for these addendums.
8. Page 7 of 22 of the solicitation states “the offerer must provide a GC Reference Form for each reference”. Is this a GSA form to be completed or are we to develop our own form with the required information?
Response: Provide your own form with the required solicitation.
9. During the pre-bid meeting GSA stated questions will be accepted until 4/21/10. Assuming answers are posted by the end of business on 4/22/10, which would only allow one day to finalize and mail the proposal. Can the bid due date be extended to ensure sufficient time to address these answers and include in the final proposal?
Response: The bid date is not extended.
