About this file

This document is a pre-enrollment and base access vetting instruction sheet for Grissom Air Reserve Base (ARB). It outlines the process that all contractors, subcontractors at all tiers, and delivery drivers must follow to gain access to the installation.

Background checks must be initiated and submitted to Security Forces at least five business days prior to arrival at Grissom ARB. Individuals are required to complete an online application through the DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System) portal at https://dbids-global-enroll.dmdc.mil/, after which they must provide their confirmation code, full legal name, requested dates of access, and business hours to the Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer to request base access. At the Visitor Center, one of the following forms of identification must be presented to receive base access: REAL ID Driver's License, CAC (Common Access Card), USID, Non-CAC Local or Regional DoD Credential issued by Grissom or another installation or region, U.S. or Foreign Passport or Passport Card, TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential), VHIC (Veterans Health Identification Card), Federal PIV (Personal Identity Verification), or Non-Federal PIV-1.
