About this file

This document is a Bio Identification and Notification requirement for contractors working at Grissom Air Reserve Base, accompanied by a crosswalk of OSHA expanded standards requirements for hazardous chemicals and materials.

Contractors are required to provide a comprehensive list of all toxic chemicals and materials to be used during contract performance, including any chemicals subject to OSHA expanded standards. Additionally, contractors must notify the Contracting Officer in advance of entering Grissom Air Reserve Base if their work will involve lasers or radioactive materials. The accompanying crosswalk table details 19 categories of regulated hazardous substances (ranging from 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane to Respirable Crystalline Silica) and specifies corresponding OSHA compliance requirements for each substance. These requirements include permissible exposure limits, supplementary occupational exposure exposure limits, training and refresher training protocols, medical surveillance and periodic examination schedules, air monitoring procedures, regulated area designations, medical removal protection provisions, change room and shower facilities, worker rotation policies, and written emergency action plans. The crosswalk, updated as of February 7, 2017, incorporates the 29 CFR 1910.1024 Beryllium Expanded Standard final rule and serves as a reference tool for contractors to ensure compliance with applicable OSHA regulatory requirements during contract execution.
