Addendum No. 2 to Center Green Fountain Updates Contract Specifications

This is Addendum No. 2 to the contract specification documents for the Town of Glastonbury's Center Green Fountain Updates project (GL-2027-10), issued by TLB Architecture on August 25, 2026. The addendum revises the original bid due date from August 27, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. to September 3, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. and adds six new specification sections to the contract documents. The project scope includes replacing an existing fountain and its associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with the control and electrical system being relocated from an underground vault to an above-ground enclosure while the pump system remains underground. All bidders must acknowledge this addendum on their bid proposal pages.

The addendum introduces detailed administrative and technical requirements across six new specification sections: submittal procedures (Section 013300), temporary facilities and controls (Section 015000), closeout procedures (Section 017700), project record documents (Section 017839), demonstration and training (Section 017900), and cast stone masonry (Section 047200). Key requirements include submission of product data and shop drawings for fountain components, electrical equipment, plaster, and pre-cast stone caps; establishment of temporary utilities, site security, and erosion control measures; comprehensive closeout documentation and warranties with a one-year non-prorated warranty on workmanship and multi-year warranties on equipment (five years for pumps and filters, two years for valves); and owner-provided utilities for water, sewer, and electric services without metering charges. Contractors must prepare operation and maintenance manuals, provide demonstration and training to owner personnel on all systems, and submit project record documents including marked-up drawings, product data, and photographs documenting all installed conditions and any deviations from original specifications.
