About this file

This document is an amendment to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for FY22 Crane Operator Training Evaluation & Certification. The RFP requires the selected vendor to provide NCCCO-accredited crane operator certification training for IDOT's Day Labor staff, including training on various crane types such as articulating boom cranes, mechanic's service trucks, overhead cranes, and JLGs with side-shifting booms. The amendment clarifies that NCCER certification will also be acceptable in addition to NCCCO.

Regarding pricing, the RFP requests vendors to provide both a per-class price and a total price. IDOT has indicated that the per-class price and total price should be the same, and the total of these two figures will represent the estimated grand total for the contract.

FY22 Crane Operator Training Evaluation & Certification

B-29651 / 22-DL-R-130223

Amendment #1 IDOT Responses to Vendor’s Questions

1. In the bid documents it states "1. The result should be an adequate number of certified crane operators for mobile cranes in accordance with the Occupational

Safety and Health Standards [29 CFR 1926, Subpart CC]. The daily operations of the Day Labor staff include operation of various types of cranes, including, but not limited to:

• Articulating Boom Crane/knuckleboom

• Mechanic’s Service Trucks

• Overhead (Bridge) Crane

• JLG with side-shifting boom"

Yet, the RFP demands that the testing be conducted through NCCCO.

We are with the only other company that does national licensing called NCCER.

We would like to bid on this RFP using NCCER.

Response: NCCER will be acceptable.

2. What is the Difference between the price per class and total price?

Response: The per class price and the total rows would be the same and then would be added together to come up with the estimated grand total.
