About this file
This is an addendum to a competitive bid solicitation issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) for the Yellow River Little Gin Hole Landing Restoration project. The project involves riverbank stabilization through wood revetment construction and bank stabilization measures using tree materials from proposed harvest locations, with specific plantings required. The mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit occurred on December 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM ET. The deadline for written questions has passed, with responses now anticipated by January 8, 2026. Sealed bids must be received by January 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM ET at the FWC Purchasing Office in Tallahassee, Florida, with public bid opening scheduled for the same date and time. The anticipated award date is January 20, 2026. Construction activities are projected to span 60 days, with an additional 30 days for planting and 90 days for plant watering and monitoring, totaling 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
Addendum 2 revises the calendar of events from the original solicitation, specifically updating the anticipated date for responses to written questions from December 30, 2025, to January 8, 2026, while maintaining all other key dates. Bidders must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace system and with SunBiz, and must hold a valid Florida General or Marine Specialty Contractor license. The estimated project budget is $720,000, with contractors required to maintain liquid assets of at least five percent of the Base Bid amount and demonstrate three references for similar projects. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds at 100 percent of contract value are required for contracts exceeding $100,000. Liquidated damages are assessed at $150 per calendar day for delays beyond the Substantial Completion date. Contractors must establish or maintain an active office within 300 road miles of the project site and perform at least 15 percent of management and construction work using their own employees for contracts exceeding $500,000.
