In addition, this Specification includes requirements for program management, compliance demonstration, product support, and data submittals.
2) These Specifications are generally complete,, but it is not intended to describe all work details to be performed. This is a performance- based SOW, in which WMATA is giving the Contractor the freedom to determine how to meet WMATA’s requirements for technical acceptability..Therefore, the Contractor's solution will be influenced by its experience in building rail work equipment, on its examination of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) system, and on its detailed design, manufacturing and testing capabilities.
3) Training of WMATA’s staff in the operation and maintenance of the Units and full supporting documentation for training programs shall be provided. Refer to Section 16.
4) The Contractor shall provide after-sales service support with factory- trained service technicians to assist in start-up and training.
5) Upon completion of manufacturing and before any operation begins, all parts shall be clean and free from scale, rust, water, and/or any contamination. All materials and workmanship must be of technically acceptable.
