About this file
This document appears to be a conceptual hydrology model for the village of Savoonga, Alaska. It provides a visual representation of the groundwater conditions in the area, including the active layer, continuous permafrost, thaw bulb, and bedrock. The model also depicts the locations of water wells, monitoring wells, and the general surface water flow direction. The document appears to be part of a remedial action report for the National Guard Federal Scout Armory in Savoonga.
The document provides technical details about the depth of the water table, the screened intervals of the village water supply well and the monitoring wells, and the geology of the area, including the presence of lava rocks and soft clay. This information is likely intended to support decision-making and planning for groundwater-related activities in the village.

2. This conceptual hydrology model is based on a composite of soil borings logs, supra-permafrost water monitoring wells, and historic investigation information, which is provided in Section 7.2 of the Decision Document. Logs from the 1972 village water supply well installation and a 1966 well installation attempt provided information about regional geology and depth to bedrock.
