About this file
This document is an architectural/technical specification document for a Structured Cabling RFP (Request for Proposal) for FHPS (appears to be a school district facility). The document provides detailed technical specifications and floor plans for structured cabling installation across multiple classroom or institutional spaces. The scope of work includes installation of horizontal cabling pathways, cable tray systems, grounding infrastructure, electrical receptacles, conduit systems, and supporting infrastructure to accommodate data, A/V, and wireless connectivity throughout the designated spaces. The specifications call for 12"x4" cable trays, four 4" conduits for horizontal pathways from hallways, grounding busbars mounted at 80" above finished floor (AFF), and 3/4" A/C fire-treated plywood backboards measuring 8 feet high mounted with the bottom at 6" AFF. Multiple locations require new A/V setup installations, and the document identifies specific technology placement requirements across various rooms with teacher stations, televisions, wireless access points, and existing A/V pathways designated for future use.
Environmental and infrastructure requirements include maintaining room temperatures between 64°F and 75°F with relative humidity between 37% and 55% non-condensing, with each space requiring a dedicated air conditioning unit. Electrical specifications require 5-20R, 120V receptacles mounted on diverse circuits at 80" AFF or inside provided technology cabinets. Suspended ceilings are explicitly not required or desired. All grounding infrastructure must be connected to the main building ground. Backboards must be painted with two coats of fire-retardant white paint. The specifications reference existing V4000 raceways to be utilized for data and A/V cabling, indicating integration with current building infrastructure.

General Notes:
1. Suspended ceilings are not required or desired.
2. The space should be environmentally controlled to maintain a room temperature range of 64F to 75F (18°C to 24°C) with a relative humidity level between 37% to 55% non-condensing.
Space should have a dedicated A/C unit.
3. Grounding busbars shall be provided and grounded to the main building ground. Mount and secure to backboard at 80" AFF.
Detailed Notes:
1. 5-20R, 120V. Receptacles should on diverse circuits and be mounted 80" AFF to align with technology cabinet placement.
2. Four 4" conduits should be provided for horizontal pathway from the hallway.
3. 12"x4" cable tray should be provided to support cabling from sleeve locations to provided equipment rack location.
4. 3/4" A/C fire treated plywood backboards to be installed, 8’ high, mounted so the bottom is 6" AFF, painted with two coats of fire retardant white paint.
