About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Door Access Control System issued by Forest Hills Public Schools, located in Michigan. The comprehensive RFP solicits proposals for a district-wide door access control system to be implemented across multiple school buildings and facilities, including elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, administrative buildings, and auxiliary facilities like the Community & Aquatic Center. The project involves installing access control equipment at 27 different locations, with a total of 271 card readers, 26 event card readers, 490 door contact sensors, and 947 associated hardware components. The RFP requires vendors to provide detailed technical specifications, system integration capabilities with existing video management and public address systems, and comprehensive installation and service offerings.
The pricing structure allows for a base bid and optional add-on components, with vendors required to provide itemized pricing for hardware, cabling, installation, and integration services. The RFP mandates that vendors complete multiple mandatory forms, including non-familial relationship affidavits, school safety affidavits, and compliance certifications. The proposed solution must integrate with the district's existing Avigilon video management system, support perpetual licensing, and comply with federal regulations regarding telecommunications equipment. Vendors must also provide detailed warranty information, with a base five-year hardware warranty required, and demonstrate capabilities for mobile access, visitor management, and integration with handicap operators and fire systems.
