About this file
This is a project specification and technical drawing file for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's fabric awning replacement project at the St. Pete Headquarters Campus located at 100 Eighth Avenue SE, St. Petersburg, Florida. The project involves removal of damaged fabric covers from existing awning frames and fabrication and installation of new all-weather exterior woven acrylic or polyester fiber-reinforced vinyl fabric covers at four locations: RMI Ground Floor Entrance (base bid), JU 4th Floor West Terrace (Alternate Bid #1), JU East Terrace (Alternate Bid #1), and RMI Rooftop (Alternate Bid #2). All new fabric covers must include a minimum 10-year warranty with seams and edges heat welded and double stitched using UV and marine environment-resistant thread with lifetime warranty. Attachment methods vary by location, utilizing either rope and grommet lacing at the RMI Entrance and Rooftop locations or staple stitch method at the JU terrace locations. The mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit occurred on April 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM ET; written questions were due April 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM ET with responses posted by May 6, 2026; sealed bid submission was due May 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM ET with public opening at the same date and time; and the anticipated award date was May 19, 2026. The contract term is one year from Purchase Order issuance with project completion required by August 31, 2026.
Contractors are responsible for obtaining accurate field dimensions onsite, as all dimensions shown in client drawings are approximate, and must provide a one-year warranty on labor, materials, and equipment from final completion. The estimated project budget is $60,000, with liquidated damages of $250 per calendar day applicable for delays beyond the specified completion date, except for circumstances beyond the contractor's control. Bidders must submit a minimum of three references for similar projects completed and be registered in both MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) and the SunBiz system prior to bid opening. The procurement is subject to standard Florida state purchasing terms and conditions, including compliance with E-Verify employment verification requirements and non-discrimination provisions. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified, and no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are noted in the available documentation. Evaluation will focus on identifying the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all technical and qualification requirements.
