About this file

This document is a Questions & Answers Addendum issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Procurement Office for Solicitation No. FWC 25/26-100, "St. Pete Headquarters' Awnings Replacement." The addendum addresses clarifications submitted by bidders regarding the scope of work and material specifications for the awning replacement project at the FWC's St. Pete Headquarters Campus. The FWC confirmed acceptance of a contractor's proposed repair methodology involving removal of existing awning structures to flat roofs, application of new covers, and reinstallation of repaired awnings with new hardware to avoid costs and safety risks associated with rental equipment. All sealed bid responses must be received no later than 3:00 PM ET on Thursday, May 14, 2026, with a public bid opening scheduled for the same date and time.

The addendum clarifies critical specifications regarding fabric material color selection. While a bidder proposed using Serge Ferrari material in beige as a color match to existing structures, the FWC rejected this selection, stating that the owner retains final approval authority for acceptable colors. The FWC identified acceptable color options as Erin Green, Persian Green, Seagrass Green, and Aruba. Bidders must submit sealed proposals with color samples for FWC approval prior to contract award. The addendum reinforces that all protests must be filed with the FWC Purchasing Office within the timeframes prescribed by Florida Statute Section 120.57(3) and Florida Administrative Code Chapter 28-110.

FWC SOLICITATION ADDENDUM 2

BEGIN ADDENDUM

QUESTION #1

We would like to make you aware of our method of repair. Upon site visit, we find flat roofs connected to the existing structures. The scope of work is to remove the existing structures to the flat roofs to apply new covers. We will then reinstall the repaired awnings with all new hardware. This is our scope of work to avoid the expense and danger of rental equipment being used. Do you like this idea that we have?

ANSWER #1

Agreed.

QUESTION #2

The bid package does not include fabric color choice. I have chosen Serge Ferrari material colors that are a close match to the existing structures. I will be including color samples along with the sealed bid?

ANSWER #2

This color (Serge Ferrari-this is a beige color) is unacceptable. The owner will have the final approval for the acceptable color. Examples of colors are Erin Green, Persian

Green, Seagrass Green, and Aruba.
