About this file
This is a project specification document for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Facilities Services division, detailing fabric awning replacement work at the St. Petersburg Campus. The project involves removing damaged fabric covers from existing awning frames and fabricating and installing new all-weather exterior woven acrylic or polyester fiber-reinforced vinyl fabric covers at three locations: the RMI Entrance (Base Bid), JU West Terrace (Alternate Bid #1), and JU East Terrace (Alternate Bid #1), with an additional alternate bid for RMI Rooftop (Alternate Bid #2). The new fabric covers must be covered by a minimum 10-year warranty, with all seams and edges heat welded and double stitched using UV and marine environment-resistant thread with lifetime warranty. Attachment methods vary by location: rope and grommet laced method for RMI locations and staple stitch method for JU terraces. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all field dimensions onsite, and all dimensions provided in client drawings are noted as approximate. The contractor shall warranty labor, materials, and equipment for one year from final completion, including all necessary adjustments and replacement of defective items at no expense to the owner.
The specification document provides detailed technical drawings and sections showing dimensions for each awning location, with measurements ranging from approximately 27 to 41 feet in length and varying heights. The document includes a cover sheet, key plan sheet, list table sheet, title sheet, and detailed sections and elevation drawings for the RMI Entrance base bid, JU West Terrace alternate bid, JU East Terrace alternate bid, and RMI Rooftop alternate bid. No pricing information, contract term, award dates, response deadlines, site visit requirements, or bidder conference details are included in this specification document. The drawings are dated 03-12-2026 and reference six related PDF files containing additional details for each awning location.
