About this file

This document comprises FAA Supplemental General Provisions for Project SAF182-19F, a runway safety area improvement project undertaken by the City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe County, New Mexico, in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration. The work involves earthwork, grading, drainage improvements, surface restoration including seeding, and removal or relocation of obstructions to bring Runway 33's Runway Safety Area into compliance with FAA design and safety standards. Molzen-Corbin & Associates serves as the Engineer for the project, while the City of Santa Fe is designated as the Owner. The provisions specify that prequalification of bidders will not be required, and the document establishes the roles of the Resident Project Representative (RPR) and Quality Assurance Observer in overseeing contractor performance and material compliance. Work shall be performed in accordance with issued plans, specifications, and FAA requirements while maintaining safe airport operations.

The supplemental provisions establish payment terms for lump sum work items, which shall be paid on a pro-rata basis according to project completion percentage unless the contractor provides documented evidence of accelerated completion warranting earlier payment. Specific references to utility contacts, phases and sequencing of work, and AOA Communication and operation requirements are directed to the construction drawings. The document modifies standard FAA general provisions by deleting certain subsections and establishing specific requirements for project oversight and contractor payment procedures. No information regarding specific response dates, bidder meetings, award dates, contract term, pricing structures, set-asides, or funding sources is included in this supplemental provisions document.
