About this file

This document contains a set of questions and answers related to the removal of a blast booth under Solicitation Number FA910124QB034. The key details are:

The blast booth is located on-site with utilities (air, electric, gas, water) already disconnected. The booth is sitting on top of concrete and does not need to be removed from the concrete. Torches can be used on-site as long as proper fire watch protocols are followed. The work is expected to take approximately 4 days with a 2-person crew, and can be performed Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm, with every other Friday from 6:30am to 4pm. The dimensions of the roll-up doors next to the blast booth and dust collector are provided. The agency plans to award the contract immediately after the due date, and the contractor can mobilize without any prior submittals. No hazardous materials like lead or asbestos are present, and the large air receiver tank next to the booth will remain. The blast booth itself is steel construction that is mostly bolted together.
