Question # Question Government Response
1 Will the machines require lead screws or ball screws? The machines require lead screws.
2 What is the requested amount of hours that you see for installation and training?
No installation or training is required. See Attachment 1 - Manual Mill
Specifications Amend 0001.
3 For the floor attachment hardware, what is your typical requirement for this?
The machines are not directly attached to the floor. Leveling blocks, provided by the Government, and bolts will be used to level the machines.
To help us best select our appropriate machine model to bid, would you be able to clarify this table size spec?
The machine table size is 10"x50". See Attachment 1 - Manual Mill
Specifications Amend 0001.
Does the machine have to be NFPA 79 certified? Is a sticker needed for NFPA 79?
Reference: Machine shall be built to NFPA 79 and operate with AEDC power system which is 480V, 3PH,60 HZ or quote package should include step down transformer to machine operation voltage.
NFPA 79 has been revised to NFPA 70. Per NEC 110.3B and C, a NFPA 70 label is not required. Only a product certification from a qualified electrical testing laboratory is needed (i.e., UL listed).
