1. General Information

1.1. Order

BS Rotor Technic USA, LLC inspected on behalf of Lumus Construction, the rotor blades for the on page 4 mentioned wind turbine of the type: FUHRLANDER 1500 KW. The work included the inspection, generation of this report and the condition of the rotor blades during the inspection.

1.2. Directives for the inspection

The inspection was carried out according to:

· The standards for regular inspection of wind turbines from the Germanischer Lloyd,

· The standards for regular inspection of wind turbines from the specialist commission of the BWE,

· The standards of the TÜV Berlin Brandenburg, from the course “Service technician for Rotor Blade repair and service“

· As well as National / international standard.

1.3. Working extent

The rotor blade where inspected by our technicians using rope access. Identified damage has been documented with photos. They are displayed in the location diagram of the damage under section 2.1.

1.4. Remarks on implementation of the inspection

The implementation of the inspected Rotor Blades starts from the hub of the blade approach toward the blade tip. The distance data from blade flange to the body damage is measured in meters specified. R=0 is the start of the blade (flange).

Names and abbreviations in the following segment:

l = length

Ø = diameter ps = pressure side ss = suction side rc = rear chamber mb = main beam fc = front chamber le = leading edge te = trailing edge

Result of the inspection

3.1 Result

Here the most important types of damage are summarized in groups with their likely causes at the time of the inspection

3.1.1 Blade interior

Blade 1

Not inspected Blade 2

Blade 3

3.1.2 Blade exterior

Cracks The surface of the rotor blades are in good condition and no cracks where found at the time of inspection.

Surface and Lunker No surface lunker or holes where found during the inspection.

Aerodynamic installations None exist on this LM Rotor Blade design.

Other Each of the three blades had a black area typical to small lighting strikes. The areas seen in the photos are at the leading edge protective tape. The result of the small lighting strikes had caused the leading edge tape to bubble. The laminate at these locations was not compromised, and the top coat seemed to be in good condition aside from the discoloration. Our Technicians cut back the leading edge tape to mitigate the noise that is made during normal operation caused from loose leading edge tape.

3.2 Conclusions and recommendations

With regard to operational safety we suggest that the Rotor Blades have the existing leading edge tape removed while the rotor is on the ground during the gear box repairs, or replacement.

For manufacturing and design defects, we assume no liability.

After the repairs these Rotor Blades should be inspected periodically so that any future problems can be addressed as needed.

For the future we recommend that the blades will be:

· Checked visual by rope access and, if necessary, repair them based on the actual condition, yearly.

We recommend that the next check be scheduled for October 2013.
