A5:
The solicitation for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the Base Telecommunications Systems (BTS) at Altus AFB, OK has not been issued. It should be issued within the next two to four weeks.
The best way to track this and any other solicitation is on the FedBizOpps (FBO) web site. We'll issue the solicitation by posting it to FBO. You can check now as the synopsis is out there. (https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&tab=core&id=b2b542849a2fc7e7713ae56db3e7cc1a&_cview=1). If this link does not work, go to the FBO website (https://www.fbo.gov/). Enter the solicitation number, FA877309R0002, into the "Quick Search" box near the upper right corner of the screen. That will take you directly to the synopsis for the solicitation. You can search for other solicitations that we issue by putting "38 EIG" (include the quotation marks) into the "Quick Search" box. You may need to scroll past some solicitations for Local Exchange Services to get to the O&M of the BTS solicitations.
In addition, when you are on the page for a specific solicitation, you can click the box "Add to Watchlist" which will enable you to register to be notified when there are any changes posted to the FBO website. This will insure that you know when the solicitation and any amendments are issued as soon as they are issued.
Thank you for your interest. We are continually striving to add 8(a), HUBZone and tribally owned companies to our vendor base.
If you have any additional questions about this specific solicitation, please contact Erin Young. When you check out the synopsis on FBO, you'll see her name and contact information near the bottom.
Q6:
In reading the pre-solicitation notice it required prospective companies to sign up on the solicitation website. I did not see a link to the registration form nor to the solicitation web page.
1. The RFP will be paperless and will be released using the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) website at: www.fbo.gov <http://www.fbo.gov/> only. The RFP will contain files in Microsoft Office 2007 and PDF formats. A registration page for the solicitation will be available at the solicitation Web page. All offerors who wish to participate in this solicitation must complete the registration page, which places them on the solicitation source list.

Q10:
Could you please check to see if a graduated 8(a) company can bid on this solicitation and also can you give me the manufacturer and the model number of the system to be maintained.
A10:
Thank you for your questions. A firm must be an eligible 8(a) firm to participate as a prime contractor in this acquisition. You should check with your local SBA representative to verify if your firm is eligible to participate in acquisitions that are set-aside for 8(a). We cannot make that determination at this time. Firms not eligible only because they are not an 8(a) can participate at the sub-contract level if they meet all other eligibility requirements, see the future RFP for that information.
Information about the system to be maintained will be available when the RFP is released. After you have studied the RFP, if it doesn't answer your second question, please resubmit the question.
Q11:
We are interested in getting on the potential offerors’ list for the subject solicitation. The announcement that appeared on the FBO web site stated:
“A registration page for the solicitation will be available at the solicitation Web page. All offerors who wish to participate in this solicitation must complete the registration page, which places them on the solicitation source list.”
Could you please tell me when and where the “registration page for the solicitation will be available?”
