1) Drawings Nos: 12-0041-1 (sheet 1 of 10) and 12-0041-4 (sheet 4 of 10) indicate that the drive to Building 1480 is gravel. At the project walk thru, it was visible that the drive was paved with asphalt. Please confirm the existing condition of the drive and what restoration will be required in this area.

The roadway in question is now asphalt which was put in after the project was designed. Provide pricing to drill under roadway to install necessary conduit and conductors.

2) Drawing No: 12-0040-6 (Sheet 6 of 10) shows a 4” communication conduit routed from the shed to the shelter. At the walk thru it was indicated that this conduit was not needed as this shelter is scheduled for removal in the near future. Please confirm that this correct.

Install as shown on drawing.

3) Drawing No: 12-0040-7 (sheet 7 of 10) Phasing Note j. reads “Remove all existing conductors and conduits no longer active.” Please clarify, is it the intent to have only exposed conduits removed or to excavate all of the buried conduits to remove those portions as well?

Remove all existing conductors and conduits no longer active in their entirety. Below grade portions of Panel - Tower 1A conduit may be abandoned in place.

4) On Drawing No: 12-0040-8 (Sheet 8 of 10) please clarify the following, the conductors routed from the new Primary Switch PS-1 to the new Primary Transformer PT-1480 are indicated to be “New 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in Exist. 4” C. (concrete encased)”. Please confirm that this conduit and duct bank are existing.

The new conductors to be installed between new primary switch PS-1 and new primary transformer PT-1480 shall be installed in new 4” conduit with new duct bank. (A conduit and duct bank does not currently exist between the new PS-1 and PT-1480 locations.)

5) On Drawing No: 12-0040-8 (Sheet 8 of 10) please clarify the following, the conductors routed from the new Primary Switch PS-1 to the existing electrical manhole are indicated to be “New 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in Exist. 4” C. (concrete encased)”. Please confirm that this conduit and duct bank are existing.

The conductors between new primary switch PS-1 and the existing manhole shall be new 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in new 4” conduit and new duct bank. (A conduit and duct bank does not currently exist between the new PS-1 location and the exist. manhole.)

6) On Drawing No: 12-0040-8 (Sheet 8 of 10) please clarify the following, the conductors routed from the new Primary Switch PS-2 to the new Primary Transformer PT-GIB are indicated to be “New 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in Exist. 4” C. (concrete encased)”. Please confirm that this conduit and duct bank are existing.

The conductors between new primary switch PS-2 and the new primary transformer PT-GIB shall be new 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in new 4” conduit and new duct bank. (A conduit and duct bank does not currently exist between the new PS-2 and PT-GIB locations.)

7) On Drawing No: 12-0040-8 (Sheet 8 of 10) please clarify the following, the feeder routed from the new Primary Switch PS-2 to the existing electrical manhole (continuing on to Primary Switch PS-1) does not have a specific notation designating the conductor size, conductor type, number of conductors or the conduit. This portion of the feeder is a continuation of the one routed from the existing electrical manhole to the new Primary Switch PS-1 which is indicated to be “New 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in Exist. 4” C. (concrete encased)”. Please confirm whether this portion of the feeder is to be similarly noted as the other section - “New 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in Exist. 4” C. (concrete encased)”.

The conductors between new primary switch PS-2 and the existing manhole (continuing to PS-1) shall be new 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in new 4” conduit and new duct bank. (A conduit and duct bank does not currently exist between the new PS-2 location and the exist. manhole.) The conductors between the two existing manholes (between PS-1 and PS-2) shall be new 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in exist. 4” conduit and exist duct bank.

8) On Drawing No: 12-0040-8 (Sheet 8 of 10) please clarify the following, the feeder routed from the new Primary Switch PS-2 to the existing electrical manhole (continuing on to Primary Transformer PT-1) does not have a specific notation designating the conductor size, conductor type, number of conductors or the conduit. This portion of the feeder is a continuation of the one routed from the existing electrical manhole to Primary Transformer PT-1 which is indicated to be “New 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in Exist. 4” C. (concrete encased)”. Please confirm whether this portion of the feeder is to be similarly noted as the other section - “New 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in Exist. 4” C. (concrete encased)”.

The conductors between new primary switch PS-1 and the existing manhole (continuing to primary transformer PT-1) shall be new 3-#2 (15KV shielded cable) in new 4” conduit and new duct bank. (A conduit and duct bank does not currently exist between the new PS-1 location and the exist. manhole.)

9) Drawing No: 12-0040-9 (Sheet 9 of 10) Exterior Panelboard Mounting Detail – Please clarify where this mounting detail is to be utilized. Is this to be used for mounting Panel Tower 1A, Panel Tower 11 and Panel Tower 12? The existing panels are mounted on the tower components. Also please confirm that the indicated dimensions are correct: the concrete base portion of the mounting detail is shown to be 16’L x 6’W x 14’D and the “center of the circuit breaker operating handle” is to be mounted at 25’ 4”.

Please see attached addendum drawing AD-1.

10) Drawing No: 12-0040-9 Panelboard Arc Flash Label Detail – There is not a specification for a Short Circuit Coordination/Arc Flash Study. Is the Arc Flash labeling required on this project? If so, who will be responsible for the collection of the necessary data and preparation the study?

Provide arc flash warning label on panelboards as detailed.
