Question: Will the Government please clarify the qualification requirements that "constitute/certify "an instructor to provide Virtual Classroom instruction on SAE EIA 649C CM Certification?

Answer: The instructor needs to have taken the SAE EIA 649C CM training and passed the subsequent test and be certified to instruct.

Question #2 Para 2.2.1 states "The course will address the full standard and each student shall receive a licensed PDF copy of the latest version of ANSI/EIA-649C National Consensus Standard for CM."

Question: Please confirm our instructor will only "provide a licensed PDF copy" of the latest version of ANSI/EIA-649C National Consensus Standard for CM" and there is no requirement to provide a certification for students? From whom SHALL "each student receive a licensed PDF copy"? From the Government? Will we be allowed to use 1 license and duplicate that license for every student?

Answer: There is a requirement for the vendor to provide the licensed PDF copy of the 649C training materials to each participant. We require an end of test and a certificate of completion.

Answer: There will not be a separate ODC line.

Question #4: What is "the lead time" for when a contractor would be required to provide training classes?

How many days/week in advance will we be notified to support the required training?

Answer: Class dates will be coordinated and agreed upon between contractor and government, with first training agreed upon within 30/60 days after award.

Question #5: Please define/clarify the training objective. Is the intent of the training to instruct Engineers and Programmers to perform configuration management of a specific system they are developing/producing or is the intent of the training to instruct the students to have a baseline knowledge of Configuration Management?

Answer: Intent is to provide Configuration Management training to CM personnel from numerous AOC sites. Students are expected to perform CM duties at their sites upon completion of training.
