About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) response from the Government addressing offeror inquiries related to an Integrated Inventory Program (IIP) services contract for shipping and distribution operations.
Question 1 addresses facility square footage requirements. The Government clarified that it does not maintain baseline, historical, or estimated square footage figures for the current facility. The IIP services capability operates as a high-tempo shipping and distribution facility with a 48-hour turnover requirement, meaning space requirements are driven by throughput speed rather than static storage volume. Question 2 requests clarification on the definition of "piece" for pricing tier purposes (1-10, 11-100, and >100 pieces) referenced in the Pricing Matrix (Attachment 9), including weight and dimensional thresholds for large or oversized items. The Government responded that the bulk of items received and shipped are relatively small, and directed offerors to reference the WWRS website (https://afsac4.wpafb.af.mil/WWRS) to review current inventory, item images, and sizes to inform their facility planning and pricing responses.

Question 1
Facility Square Footage: Does the Government have an estimated or historical square footage figure for the facility/warehouse space used under the current IIP services capability? A benchmark figure would help offerors size an adequately scoped facility response to PWS paragraph 2.1.
Government Response: The Government does not maintain a baseline, historical, or estimated square footage figure for the facility that the current contract holder has.
Because the current IIP services capability operates as a high-tempo shipping and distribution facility (48 hour turnover time) rather than a long-term storage or holding warehouse, space requirements are driven strictly by throughput speed rather than static volume.
Question 2
Definition of "Piece": Attachment 9 (Pricing Matrix) prices Inspection and Services fill fees by piece-count tier (1-10, 11-100, and >100 pieces). Does the Government define "piece" for purposes of these tiers, and are there associated weight or dimensional thresholds, particularly for large or oversized items? Again, this would help offerors to size an appropriately sized facility, based on the size of material going through the warehouse, especially since there will be times where shipments are waiting in the warehouse because of returns, damage or clearance of some kind.
Government Response: The bulk of the items received and shipped out are relatively small. Offerors may use the WWRS website (https://afsac4.wpafb.af.mil/WWRS) as a reference to look up the inventory and search for an item and its image. This will provide an idea of the sizes that are currently accommodated.
