McLaughlin ANGB Question Set #1 29 July 2024 Question/Answer Response:
Questions on the base portion of this RFP – Q: App “A” – mini mezz(s) – drawing shows (2) column protectors on the corners of the plan north run of cabinets.
Will bollards be accepted?
A: Since the modular cabinets do not necessary have columns per se, bollards for the area of the mini-mezz would be acceptable to protect the modular cabinets from forklift impact.
Q: App “B” pallet rack – P1 & P2 – 3.2.10. calls out for (6) 12” “column protectors” on the plan south 3 runs of rack – Again – would Bollards be accepted?
A: Column protectors shall be as specified in 3.2.10.
Q: Assuming all the white unmarked boxes (appear to be rack) on the drawings that are unnamed are existing GFE equipment?
A: All white/grayed boxes along the perimeter of the main warehouse are GFE. All racks to be provided are named/typed.
Q: App “B” pallet rack – over aisle ties – rather than adding 24” extensions – would 18” (216”) frames in those locations be accepted?
A: The 24” extensions is specified to avoid possible impact from placing loads at the top storage bays.
Q: App “B” pallet rack – over aisle ties- assuming ties only across the (2) 54” aisles – (10) total - and not tying the back to back row to the southern most single row (108” aisle)?
A: Correct. The back-to-back rows do not need to be tied to the single row.
