FA8604-19-R-8119 – Bradley Question Set #7, 17 Dec 2018

1. Per Drawing NBR816-01 the drawing illustrated two staircases with 10 steps (shown in blue) Per the screen shot below, I have numbered the total steps in red font, please confirm that 10 steps are desired.

Ans. Stairs shall be designed according to OSHA 1910.24 as specified in paragraph 3.2.1.9 of Appendix A. Estimated number of steps is 5 or 6.

2. Reference Attachment #3 3.2.2 Pallet Stops pages 7 and 8 of 22 do not have any specifications or reference to “Flip Up Stops”.

Figure 5 on page 10 of 22 shows the “FLIP SOWN PALLET STOP (TYPICAL), please reference the screen shot below.

Then on page 20 of 22 No. 13 Requirement 3.2.2 – Characteristic states, “What is the thickness of flip up and removable pallet stops. “ No other reference or specification to the “flip up stops”.

Please advise if the “flip up stops” are required. If so, please provide additional detail and specifications.

Ans. Figure 5 is in error. The reference should read “Removable Pallet Stops” not “Flip-down Pallet Stops”. Any other reference to flip-down or flip-up pallet stops should be read as removable pallet stops.

3. Other than the Removed Pallet Stop Sets indicated on Drawing NBR816-01, please confirm that no other pallet stops are required for the Ball Transfer Deck.

Ans. As specified in paragraph 3.2.2 of Appendix B; there are eleven sets of removable pallet stops for the Gravity roller conveyor as shown on AF Drawing NBR816-01. This includes two sets located next to the ball transfer conveyor, one set on each side of the ball transfer conveyor.
