About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Air Force Solicitation FA8601-26-Q-0004, issued by the Department of the Air Force's Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The Q&A addresses two specific inquiries from a potential offeror: first, clarifying the requirements for a Data Acquisition Interface for a balance, with the government specifying they want the balance without a termination connector and require 7-8 feet of external wire; second, providing guidance on completing provisions and clauses within the solicitation. The document instructs the offeror to fill out page 3 of the solicitation and specific provisions on page 22, including FAR clauses 52.209-11, 52.212-3, and 52.212-3 Alt I, with an option to submit previously completed versions from their SAM.gov registry.

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

BUSINESS AND ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS DIRECTORATE

WRIGHT PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, OHIO

FROM: AFLCMC/PZIBA

SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries Regarding Solicitation FA8601-26-Q-0004

QUESTIONS

Question 1:

While reviewing the SOW, the end user requires a Data Acquisition Interface - my original interpretation of this is that the balance will be supplied with a DB25 cable that will be used to interface it to the customer provided data acquisition system for signal conditioning and data acquisition. Can you verify with the end user that this is indeed the case, or if they would like us to also include a data acquisition system (acquisition board with strain gauge modules).

ANSWER 1:

We would like to see the balance without any termination connector. We will make all final connections at our existing Data Acquisition equipment locally. Please ensure we have 7-8 feet of wire external of the balance for ease of connection on site.

Question 2:

Concerning the statement listed in Section 8., Provisions and Clauses, “Offerors shall complete and include in quotations all representations and certifications, as well as fill-in provisions and clauses, contained within this solicitation.” Just for our clarification, will we have to include pages 3 – 33 of the Solicitation, with the appropriate spaces/boxes filled in/check marked, as part of our quotation? I only ask since a number of these same questions, clauses and FAR’s are present and completed in our SAM.gov registry.

ANSWER 2:

Please ensure page 3 of the solicitation is filled out and included with your proposal. For the Provisions and Clauses, please fill out the following starting on Page 22:

- 52.209-11

- 52.212-3

- 52.212-3 Alt I

OR

If you have already filled out the above clauses/provisions and have a copy on hand, you can include it with your proposal instead of re-filling out the clauses/provisions again.
