About this file
This document is a Vendor Questions and Government Answers file for a Wavelength Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (WD XRF) Instrument solicitation issued by the Air Force Materiel Command. The document addresses three key vendor questions: (1) confirming the government is exclusively considering WD-XRF instruments, (2) clarifying that the specified measurement range of 0.5 to 3,000/30,000 ppm will accommodate testing a wide variety of products with different concentration levels, and (3) verifying that the end user already possesses a valid XRF license and existing XRF systems for use in Florida.

FA860125Q0113 – WD XRF Instrument
Vendor Questions and Government Answers
1. Question: Are you exclusively considering Wavelength Dispersive XRF (WD-XRF) instruments, or would you also be open to Energy Dispersive XRF (ED-XRF) options?
Government Answer: We are exclusively considering WD-XRF instruments.
2. Question: The specified range of 0.5 to 3,000/30,000 ppm is quite broad. Do you anticipate that most measurements will fall within a narrower, more typical range?
Government Answer: No, a variety of products will be tested with this instrument with a wide variety of expected concentrations.
3. Question: 1. Can you confirm that the end user already has an XRF License for the state of Florida? Your office does have a valid XRF license, correct?
Government Answer: The end user already has an XRF license and XRF systems in use.
