NMUSAF Camera Upgrades

Q&As

1. Are we able to schedule a Site Visit? Unfortunately, site visits are not feasible at this time of the year, but once the contract is awarded, they will be able to make arrangements. In the meantime, please consider to review the floor plans attached to the RFQ notice.

2. The SOW does not specify the number of days for video retention. Most often it is 30 days.

How many days of video retention are required for this project? Yes, we would like a minimum of 30 days retention

3. The SOW specifies that we are to provide IT infrastructure for the camera system and that we may use strands of existing fiber between buildings for system communications. The drawings do not note the MDF or IDF locations. Can you please provide the locations of the

MDF/IDF closets and the specs on the fiber available? Attached document of fiber runs and closet locations. FYSA, document is marked CUI by originator.

4. How old are the buildings? Building age ranges from 1920’s – 2018.

5. How much square footage is in each building? Approx. 250,000 sq. ft.

6. How stable is the power in the buildings? Power is stable. Provided by WPAFB with generator/battery backup

7. Is there a dropped ceiling in all areas of installation? No

8. What type of walls are in the perimeter areas? Depends. Majority of exterior walls are aircraft hangars (aluminum)

9. What type of walls is inside the offices? Drywall

10. Do we need to drill between the walls, to run our cable infrastructure? Some walls, yes

11. Do we need to use conduit? If yes, what do you estimate the total conduit footage will be?

Conduit not required

12. What is the manufacturer of the existing CCTV system? Hik-Vision

13. How old is the existing CCTV system? Approx. 15 years old

14. Is the existing Command Control (SOC) well ventilated? Yes

15. Are you planning to use the existing Command Control (SOC) for the new CCTV

System? Yes

16. How far apart will the new Command Control be from the old command control system? N/A

17. Is there a special room with HVAC allocated for the new Servers? Existing room has HVAC

18. How many cameras are interior, and in which buildings? Unable to reply. Information can be gathered during site visit.

19. How many cameras are to be installed in a hanger, in which building(s) (if any,) and how high is it? Unable to reply. Information can be gathered during site visit.

20. How many cameras are to be installed on a roof, in which building(s) (if any) and how high is it? Unable to reply. Information can be gathered during site visit.

21. How many cameras will be exterior, and in which buildings? Unable to reply. Information can be gathered during site visit.

22. Is there a requirement to install some cameras on poles? Yes

23. If yes, is there an existing connection to existing conduit to the poles, and what is the height of the pole? Currently connected via wi-fi

24. How much storage is needed for the CCTV Video recording? At least 30 days

25. Is the government supplying the Wi fi Nanobeams and switches for this project? None are spec'd out. Yes, the vendor can use our current equipment but anything beyond that will have to be provided by the contractor.

26. What preference of server, 96TB or 192TB? 192TB
