32. QUESTION: L-1, L-2, L-3, Tables specified are to be 36”x 36” Square Table with rounded corners. In our Fringe collection, the smallest table we have (and is the one pictured in the bid) is a 30 x 48 with the softened (rounded corners). I can use a table top from our Universal series that is 36 x 36 square, the edges are softened, but not rounded. We can price the Fringe version in this size as a special…..Do you want to do that?
Specials add cost and lead time, and there is a possibility that I cannot get a price back by Friday as our special quotes are running 4 days right now.
See below, note the differences in edges, the Fringe is more rounded, the standard top is “softened”, just means it’s not a sharp 90 degree edge.
ANSWER: It appears that this question is directed from the furniture manufacture to the furniture dealership to answer. You have to use you your own discretion to meet the spec. The government cannot direct which table series you should provide.
33. QUESTION: L-5, did not specify High Back or Mid-back on the Idara.
Picture also shows both….which one would they like?
ANSWER: Please review the SOW again. The heading clearly reads “L-5 Mid – Back Lounge Chair”
34. QUESTION: They stated they wanted the wood legs…..which is the most expensive option. But then they say disc or 4-prong bases are acceptable…..All bidders will respond with the least expensive option which is the 4-prong. Just want to make sure they are aware of this, and if they really want the wood legs, it needs to be called out specifically.
ANSWER: During Market Research it was discovered that multiple furniture manufactures offer lounge chairs that meet the Idara Lounge Chair technical specifications and aesthetic properties. However some manufactures could not provide a wood base. For the base requirement to not be restrictive the disc or four prong base was added to the requirement as an acceptable option. You have to use you your own discretion to decide which base option you will submit. The government is aware of the price range between the base options.
35. QUESTION: CH-10, the description does not say whether they want the Davari chairs with or without arms. The picture below shows both versions. I also went back to the front page with the SOW, and that also does not say. Can you clarify which version they want?
ANSWER: Provided Arms. The picture shows a front and side view of the Davari chair with arms. See attached revised SOW.
36. QUESTION: In the SOW, Footings, Tessera, and Strassa are called out in the general scope. However, under each category, no particular series is called out, leaving this open to interpretation. There are many products in National’s line that can fit general descriptions and could be used in this category. For example, T-1 can be several series, Universal tables can fit this nicely, however, and Universal tables are not called out in the SOW. Can you please have them specify which series they want to use for each category?
T-1 which series T-2 – which series?
T-2 which series? T-3 which series?
T-4 and T-4A can only be Waveworks to meet specs T-5 – which series?
T-6 and T-8 these can only be Footings to meet specs T-7 – which series?
T-9 – which series? Many series have a 24x24 end table T-10 – which series?
T-11 and T-14 are custom – Footings Series fit description
ANSWER: You have to use you your own discretion to meet the spec. The government cannot direct which table series you should provide. There are multiple furniture manufactures that can meet the spec in all FF&E categories of this furniture package. Please review Section 1.0 Scope of the SOW below.
The Scope of Work indicates “Basis of Design” for products and finish materials.
Basis of Design selections reflect both the products technical specifications and their aesthetic properties as part of an overall interior design scheme. It is not the intention of the Government to limit selections to particular manufacturers but to ensure that the value of the coordinated functional and aesthetic design package, prepared at significant cost during the design process is reflected in the finished project. The basis of design is not restricted to the stated manufacturers.

42. QUESTION: For MW-9 OCC 208 it calls out for duplex receptacles, but it is a frosted glass wall with clear glass transom. This cannot have a receptacle in it. You cannot run power through glass. A full solid fabric panel would need at the ceiling entry (2’ wide) and then approx. 3’ from the ground up would need to be solid where a receptacle is needed. Is this what they would like?
ANSWER: If this is the manufactures specification for the MW-9 the then yes. I assume this would apply to MW- 9A as well.
