6. Is the SkyPower package required?
Paragraph 1.2.4 states The lifts must be Explosion Proof (EX) Class I, Division 1 rated.
SkyPower is not Class 1 Div 1 rated.
7. Are any of the following features required or desirable? Airline to platform, Light package, Hostile environment kit, Other optional accessories Paragraphs 1.2.5/1.2.6 states all accessories/options that are required. All Human lifts purchased under this contract must be Class 1 Div 1 rated and bear Factory mutual certification labels.
8. Should we provide slab scissor lifts or rough-terrain scissor lifts?

12. What is the ShipTo city and ZIP code for accurate freight pricing?
Paragraphs 2.1.1.1, 2.1.1.2, 2.1.1.3 states confirmed shipping addresses.
13. On solicitation page 4 of 43, line 4 specifies a 32 Foot Skyjack Brand Scissor Lift, (Part Number:
SJ6826) in accordance with the Purchase Description dated 24 February 2025. Part number SJ6826 is a 26 foot Skyjack scissor lift so if the solicitation is requesting a 32 Foot Skyjack scissor lift, the correct part number is SJ6832. We’re just asking for clarification that the government is requesting a 32-foot scissor lift, part number SJ6832, not a 26-foot scissor lift, part number SJ6826.
SJ6832 is the correct part number. A formal solicitation amendment will be issued today (21 July 2025) to reflect this change.
14. For the external spare battery chargers, (Lines 5, 8, 11, and 14), does the government want spare ferroresonant battery chargers or solid-state battery chargers provided? Ferroresonant battery chargers are much more robust and resistant to environmental challenges, such as high humidity and high temperatures. Solid-state battery chargers are more electrically efficient but are much more susceptible to corrosion and short circuiting in high humidity environments. Typically the Air Force has requested ferroresonant battery chargers but that wasn’t specified in the solicitation so we want to ensure that we are providing the correct charger type.
The requirement is for an additional charger for each lift found in the solicitation (for example CLIN 0005: Additional Charger for the 32 ft Scissor Lift) to be available for the Government to purchase. The charger should be whatever is standard for that specific lift.
15. The 20-foot SJ3220 scissor has a battery charger onboard the scissor, provided by Skyjack, unlike the external chargers for the other 4 lifts in this solicitation. We just want to confirm that the government wants spare onboard chargers provided for each 20-foot scissor (Line 2).
This model does not require an additional charger as it has a preinstalled charger. The CLINs associated with this charger will be changed to “Reserved” in the formal solicitation amendment that will be issued today (21 July 2025).
16. This is a small clarification for 1.2.5.1 in the February 24. 2025 Purchase Description. The stock tires on the 20-ft Skyjack SJ3220 scissor are solid rubber, not foam-filled. Therefore, the EX-build of the SJ3220 will have two solid rubber tires and two conductive tires on it when it is delivered.
This is acceptable as it is a non-pneumatic tire.
17. The 20' and 32' Skyjack scissor lifts listed in the solicitation also request "spare chargers" for each. These scissor lifts have an onboard charger so can you clarify your request and intent regarding spares for each?
The 20’ scissor lift is the only lift with an onboard charger. The CLINs associated with that charger will be changed to “Reserved” in the formal solicitation amendment that will be issued today (21 July 2025). The 32’ scissor lift does not use an onboard charger.
18. Is a detailed company proposal required for submission as well or is just populating the RFP pricing attachment sufficient?
The completed SF 1449 and RFP Pricing Attachment are required for submission.
