About this file
This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for solicitation FA850126Q0044, addressing contractor inquiries regarding the installation of an access control system for Building 2051N at Robins Air Force Base.
Key Technical and Operational Requirements: The Government clarified that the Contractor must provide 200 MIFARE credentials, all required network infrastructure to support system operation, and supply all necessary components for a standalone access control system with no integration to existing enterprise systems. No existing access control system is currently installed in Building 2051N. For the four exterior access-controlled doors, the system will operate with credential-based access (card reader) for ingress, free egress via electrified panic bar, and door position monitoring through DPS devices. The warranty period requires on-site technician support with a three-hour response time for technician arrival, not merely acknowledgement or remote support. Contractor Responsibilities and Compliance: The Contractor is responsible for maintaining all necessary Georgia state electrical and low-voltage contractor licensing requirements, which must be in place by proposal submission, award, or performance as mandated under FAR Clause 52.236-7 (Permits and Responsibilities). This represents an important compliance obligation for bidders on this small business set-aside solicitation, with quotes due no later than 1200 EST on 22 June 2026.
