1. Section 1.2, (1.2.1) States buses shall be able to accommodate a minimum of 44 passengers.
a. Question - Are non-a/c school buses that can accommodate 44 passengers acceptable?
Answer: per PWS para. 1.2.1, “Transport buses utilized for this contract shall be 2010 models or newer and shall be air conditioned/climate controlled.” The “shall” is imperative meaning that no buses can be no older than 2010 models and they all must be air conditioned/climate controlled.
2. Section 1.2, (1.2.2) States the contractor shall provide their own dispatchers
a. Question – Is the contractor only required to manage the fleet, or will the contractor need to provide staff to assist in loading passengers at the bus loading points.
Answer: There will be security on site that can help with loading passengers that need assistance.
