INTRODUCTION

1.1 Purpose

1.1.1 The purpose of this contract is to provide the U.S. Air Force a multiple award IDIQ contract to provide diverse metal parts, such as brackets, plates and assemblies, for the F-16 fleet to include all Block aircraft.

1.1.2 Parts ordered will be in units of 1 to 5,000 and will be determined by each delivery order.

1.2 Objective

1.2.1 The objective of this effort is to contract multiple offerors to provide low cost and rapid delivery of diverse modification kits (brackets, plates, panels, assemblies) for all current and future F-16 aircraft.

1.2.2 This will employ a multiple award Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Delivery

Order contract where individual delivery orders will be used to order diverse metal parts, such as brackets, plates and assemblies.

1.3 Scope

1.3.1 This SOW addresses the requirement to utilize additional sources to procure metal brackets, plates and assemblies that range in size from 1”x1”x1” to 3’X3’X3’. They can have a broad range of bends and shapes, with some requiring hardware installation (DIE, nuts, nut plates, etc…). The range of materials includes but is not limited to various aluminum, steel, and corrosion resistant alloys. Along with the usual machining, cutting, deburring and forming, other processes might include: welding, heat treat, age harden, hardness test, anodize, epoxy prime, paint, passivate, install hardware, insert heat shrink and marking with UID.

1.3.2 The Contractor shall build and deliver, to provided drawings, requirements and standards, diverse metal parts, plates and assemblies to support hardware kits used on all current and future

Blocks of F-16 aircraft.

1.4 Background

1.4.1 The F-16 Systems Integration office requires the ability to have metal kit parts built in rapid succession in order to meet program and budgetary timeline constraints. The organic team that had accomplished the workload in the past can no longer meet the timeline constraints of the F-

16 office.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

1.5 Requirements

1.5.1 The contractor shall be required to build all parts to the specifications provided in each separate

Delivery Order placed against this contract.

1.5.2 The parts may range in size from 1”x1”x1” to 3’X3’X3’. They can have a broad range of bends and shapes, with some requiring hardware installation (DIE, nuts, nut plates, etc…). The range of materials includes but is not limited to various aluminum, steel, and corrosion resistant alloys.

Along with the usual machining, cutting, deburring and forming, other processes might include:

welding, heat treat, age harden, hardness test, anodize, epoxy prime, paint, passivate, install hardware, insert heat shrink and marking with UID.
