About this file
Amendment 1 to Solicitation FA8224-25-R-0010 addresses several clarifications for a maintenance and relocation contract for carousel/vertical lift modules (VLMs) at Hill Air Force Base. The amendment provides responses to contractor questions, including corrections to the Technical Evaluation Pricing (TEP) worksheet, clarification on service quantities, and guidance on contract performance expectations. Key clarifications include: (1) pricing should reflect cost for one service during the option period, (2) quantities for relocation and removal have been corrected, and (3) contractors have flexibility in relocation start times as long as they meet the customer's need-by date. The amendment also outlines procedures for handling situations where replacement parts cannot be found, requiring documentation and government decision-making.
The underlying solicitation is for a single-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) firm-fixed-price service contract supporting the OO-ALC, DLA, and Tenant Units. The contract's primary scope is to provide Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI), repairs, and relocation/disposal of carousel and vertical lift modules at Hill Air Force Base. The contract will have a five-year ordering period with a six-month option to extend services. Contractors must provide trained personnel with necessary certifications, transportation, equipment, parts, tools, and materials to maintain the VLMs.

Solicitation FA8224-25-R-0010 Amendment 1 Questions have come in:
Q: Is the format of the 6-month option correct on the TEP worksheet?
A: A note has been added in the option area of the TEP worksheet stating that service will only be once, rather than the regular and the total number of units has gone back to the total to be serviced. Pricing should reflect the cost for one service during the option period.
Q: Why are the quantities so higher in the greater than E sized for relocation and removal?
A: This was a typo. The correct numbers to propose to are now located on the updated TEP worksheet.
Q: What if I can not start the relocation within 5 business days due the unit not being ready to move? Will I be out of compliance of the contract?
A: It is understood that it may not always be possible to start the relocation within 5 business days due to unforeseen circumstance such as the unit not be ready for relocation. The relocation needs to take place before the customer’s need by date which will allow more time for the relocation to take place.
Q: What if I can not find replacement parts since some of the units are too old to find parts for?
A: Should you be unable to find replacement parts for service or repair you will need to document your efforts and provided it to the COR. The Government will then decide what to do from there.
