About this file

This document contains questions and responses regarding a statement of work for a large fan project. The statement of work requires installation of large fans, portable fans, and evaporative fans. It calls for installation of one transformer rated at 30 KVA from 480 volt 3 phase to 120/208 3 phase power, along with a 100 amp panel containing a minimum of seven 120 volt 20 amp circuits to power seven column mounted fans. The response clarifies that only seven fans will be installed on the new panel according to the statement of work's requirements. Additional details provided include that the installed panel is only for fans on the south side of a high saw tooth structure, as elsewhere has existing panel capacity. The response directs the reader to zoom in on the project pdf to find the location of the new panel.

LARGE FAN PROJECT QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES

Question Per the latest statement of work released I feel we need clarification on the following electrical requirements

Install one (1) 250 amp Panel (main breaker 250 amp). Panel shall be 20 circuit panel with a minimum of seven (7) 120 VAC 20 amp breakers.

In order to supply 120/208V 225amps from a transformer the transformer must be at least a 75KVA minimum. Please advise.

Response Install one (1) transformer (30 KVA; 480 volt 3 phase to 120/208 3p); Breaker or fused disconnect from 480 bus to the transformer (50 Amp).

Install one (1) 100 Amp Panel (main breaker 100 Amp). Panel shall be 42 circuit panel with a minimum of seven (7) 120 VAC 20 Amp breakers.

Question With only supplying 1 new panel I am not seeing that we can install 1 centrally located panel and stay under the 250' linear feet of conduit as per SOW

Response The installed panel is only for F16’s on the south side of high saw tooth, everywhere else has existing panel capacity.

Question Please provide additional information as to which print and where on the print we can find the new panel location.

Response You’ll have to zoom in on the pdf to see the location Question For the column mounted fans we are seeing a name plate rating of at least 10 amp per unit. With a name plate rating of 10 amps 10x125% = 12.5amps of name plate rating per NEC we will be required to provide and install 1 -20amp circuit per fan. This exceeds the power requirement in the SOW of at least 7 circuits.

Response Only 7 fans will be installed on the new panel
