About this file

This document is an attachment related to a federal contract opportunity. It outlines contingency pricing and cost sharing terms for prototype replacement if a prototype fails during first article manufacturing.

The document states that if the offeror is a non-profit organization and has not previously provisioned the required items, they may provide firm fixed price (FFP) pricing to replace prototypes that have a high risk of failure. The government agrees to replace one prototype if it fails the first time due to unforeseen technical issues, with the government funding the second prototype. This cost sharing arrangement is authorized for non-profit organizations per 2 CFR 200.

The related federal contract opportunity is a 5-year IDIQ single award solicitation (FA8212-24-R-0007) for F-16 circuit card assemblies to support the US Air Force and foreign military sales. The solicitation was recently amended to extend the closing date to May 30, 2024.
