Please read through the revised PWS. It contains new information about a section of a new bulding being included in this acquisition.
Contractor Q and A:
1) What is the contract duration/type for this effort?
A- The contract type will be Firm Fixed Price and duration is based on contractor proposal.
2) How far is second building from old (830 BAY E) A- The distance between building 830 and building 850 is approximately .02 mile; the distance between building 510 and building 850 is approximately 1.3 miles; actual mileage shall be confirmed by moving contractor.
3) Separate rate should be per pallet or per truck? Should we add another CLIN # for this.
A- You may bid however you see fit. Evaluation of quote price will be on the total cost of relocation, not the individual line items.
4) What is the exact size (s) of Racks to be installed in new building(850 F)?
A- The shelves measure 9 ‘ long X 3’11” wide X 18’ tall. Please see attached diagram for placement and number of shelves to be created.
5) Can we use forklift belongs to GOVT. which is on the site?
A- No (Per 3.1.1)
6) Can we use shrink machine belongs to GOVT. which is on the site?
A- No
7) Per 3.1.4, govt. will direct the re-distribution of materials meaning deliveries from another contractor. (This was read to mean incoming material to the warehouse) Do we have to accomodate them ? Do we need to quote a seperate rate for this because, as of now, it is unknown what is going to be delivered? Can we submit separate rates for deliveries made to 830 E or 850 F during the relocation by another contractor.
A- Incoming material will be stopped during the time of relocation. If an unforseeable need to deliver product arises, the receipt of this material will be worked around the vendors performance on this contract. (You will not need to accommodate them.) You may quote however you deem necessary. Evaluation of quote price will be on the total cost of relocation, not the individual line items.
