ANCHORS SHALL BE TIED IN PLACE PRIOR TO POURING CONCRETE. WET-

SETTING OR DRILLING OF THE CONCRETE SLAB IS NOT PERMITTED." Does this include anchor bolts for water closet and urnial carriers? That would not work well considering the exact placement required for these anchors.

Government Response: Post-installed anchors will be accepted on per case basis. WC and urinal carriers will be accepted. Provide exact locations, details, manufacturers recommendations, and anchor cut sheet and MDS prior to installation.

(25) Request for information. Regarding General Note 7 on sheet S-101 and General Note

1 on sheet P-102, can the base plumbing shop open a floor cleanout within the project area and an additional site visit be scheduled to verify the depth of the existing under slab sanitary sewer piping? This information is not available on as-builts and will help ensure the Government receives accurate pricing.

Government Response: Yes. Assumptions can be made per the as-builts, but the contractor shall verify actual conditions.

(26) Request for information. Can project specifications be provided?

Government Response: Yes. Specifications were included as part of the solicitation documents.

(27) Request for information. Detail 6 on sheet P-501 indicates to conceal lavatory mixing valves in cabinets. This is not typical for mixing valves installed under wall mount lavatories. Please confirm this requirement.

Government Response: In lieu of the currently scheduled lavatory plumbing fixtures, all lavatories in toilet rooms shall be a fixture installed under an additional, not currently depicted, solid surface counter top. Spacing of the lavatories shall match that shown on Drawing 2/A-101. The support system shall be as shown in drawing in 4/A-602, for both the counter & removable closure panels. Support shall be on each side of sinks, and at ends while allowing for clearances for the placement of the trash cans at the locations shown in drawings on sheet A-101. The lavatory mixing valves shall be installed under the counter behind the removable panels. Reference lavatory fixture LAV-2-A in schedule for sink and Tinker AFB Mechanical Standard O.2.a for faucet.

Government Response: Preferred method of protection are trap seal devices instead of trap primer systems IAW 2025 Tinker Mechanical Standard.

(32) Request for information. What controls and controls sequence is required for circulation pump RCP-1?

Government Response: Coordinate with Honeywell for the circulation pump to be on the EBI system, via COIN IAW UFC 3-420-01 Plumbing Systems para. 607.2.1.

Government Response: IAW with UFC 3-420-01 Plumbing Systems provide 5 gal expansion tank with shut-off valve to be suspended from the existing structure near the water heater.

(34) Request for information. Please confirm the existing domestic cold water pipe size to the existing water heater is sufficient for the new 2" hot water line. The plans indicate existing 3/4” cold water to the water heater.

Government Response: Provide 1-1/4” CW to water heater instead of the 3/4" CW indicated on the drawings.

(35) Request for information. Are shut-off valves required for water hammer arrestors?

Government Response: Yes

(36) Request for information. Please confirm the above slab sanitary sewer piping for water closets is to be 3” as shown and does not need to be 4”.

Government Response: Change all 3” piping to water closets and branch piping to 4” in size.

(37) Request for information. Considering the extensive under slab sanitary sewer piping shown upstream of the project work area on sheet P-101 and the expected constant discharge into the sewer piping, should bidding contractors include overtime costs for replacing the under slab sanitary sewer piping (sheet PD101) outside of normal duty hours?

Government Response: Existing sanitary sewer system to remain in operation as indicated in the construction documents. How this is to be accomplished shall be IAW Contractor’s means and methods.
