About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) Response Sheet for the WWYK240016 Renovate Security for IWTP project at Tinker Air Force Base. The RFI addresses multiple technical questions about the security renovation project, including specifics on gate installation, fence design, electrical infrastructure, and security system requirements. Key details include a requirement for an FE-7 fence with no gaps larger than 2 inches, installation of a sliding gate with specific ground clearance, underground conduit work, and remote gate monitoring. The contractor will provide rough-in components for gate operators and keypads, with a third party handling final installation of cameras and access control systems. The project involves coordinating with the local power utility (OG&E) for transformer connections and requires adherence to specific design and submittal requirements outlined in the project documentation.

WWYK240016 – Renovate Security for IWTP RFI Response Sheet
6/26/2025 RFI.No¡.X RFI Response.to.RFI RFI No. 1 The sliding gate calls for an operator and keypads but the specs for this in division 28 (electronic safety and security) are a bit vague.
Are the operators and keypads going to be a part of the fencing SOW or is there a designated access controls company that is going to install this after the fencing is complete? If it is a part of the fencing SOW, can the government provide manufacturers specs for the desired operator and keypads?
The contractor will provide and install the rough-in components, and third party will install the cable/camaras/keypads, etc. All new empty conduits will have pull-strings installed by the contractor.
RFI No. 2 The sliding gate also does not have any specs or drawings.
Can this be made like regular cantilever gates or does this need to be a specific Tymetal style gate with a specific ground clearance?
Specific ground clearance.
Fence requires no gaps or openings greater than 2 inches.
RFI No. 3 The North fence line shows the new fence going in the exact same spot as the existing fence. Is this going to need to be torn out while we're replacing it to keep it secure, or can it be torn out completely and re-installed after?
No because it’s not a secure facility at this time.
RFI No. 4 Is there a government submittal register?
Yes.
RFI No. 5 What are the Design requirements and submittal requirements for project?
Design for a FE-7 Fence.
Additional submittal requirements are located in the submittal register.
RFI No. 6 Will ground marking or signage be required for the operation of new sliding gate?
Yes, standard signs that appear on existing fences.
6/26/2025 RFI No. 7 Fence line east of B62509 is on a steep slope and could require shoring for fence poles.
Can B62509 be utilized as the fence line?
You can not touch the floodplain, materials can be stacked, piled, placed and or compacted outside it.
RFI No. 8 Transformer at B62516 currently has Multiple Above ground exposed Conduit Taps.
Paragraph 4.4.3.1 of the SOW requested that we provide underground conduits and conductors from the transformer to a new panel.
Will government provide photos of the interior of the existing transformer and provide confirmation that OG&E will allow additional taps?
Coordination will be required with the power utility company (OG&E) for any connections or access to the secondary side of the transformers. Additional circuit and/or taps are already approved.
RFI No. 9 SOW Paragraph 4.4.3.1 (a) indicates providing (2) new Power Stations, but drawing Page E-103 Note 8, only indicate one panel location at B62516. Please provide guidance for the second connection point at B62527 and service requirements.
Refer to sheet E-106, keyed note #7
6/26/2025 RFI No. 10 Is there a remote monitoring of the gate required?
Yes
