CHIP BIN COOLANT REMOVAL INFORMATION
1. Locations: The three (3) chip hoppers in B9001 are on the B aisle, between columns B35 and
B34. The two (2) chip hoppers in B3001 are location south of the 34 Column line, between Col.
U34 and V34.
2. Draining: Hoppers are elevated on one side to enable draining of spent coolant out of the valves installed on the hoppers. In B9001, the hoppers drain to a sheet metal pan and have Blue and yellow lights indicating status of requiring drain and/or ready for pick up. In B3001, the chip hoppers have a hose running from drain valve to coolant/oil pit of adjacent Sundstrand machine;
the pit serves as accumulation point that requires contractor draining
3. Identifications: B9001 hoppers are identified "B9001 Aluminum" & "B9001 Steel"; B3001 identified as "Aluminum" and "Steel".
