QUESTION GOVERNMENT RESPONSE
1. Does the Government expect a 03
MAR 2014 start date for the first class if the Texas Department of State Health Services requires a 30- 45 day course approval?
If course approval is required, the Government will award the basic IDIQ contract and issue the first task order upon receipt of certified documentation(s) showing course approval from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Therefore, upon award of the Basic IDIQ contract, the awardee shall within five (5) calendar days of award; shall provide official documentation(s) that they have started their course approval process.
Should the awardee failed to provide certified documentation(s) of approval within 60 calendar days after award; a show cause or cure notice will be executed.
If course approval is not required, the Government will award the basic IDIQ contract and issue the first task order simultaneously.
In any event; anticipated start date of the first class is mid- March to first week of April. If time and funding permits, a second task order may be issued thereafter.
As stated in the DRAFT-Basic Contract, for the first class, the Government will order certification for no less than 20 students.
PLEASE NOTE: This modifies the Government’s response provided for QUESTION #6 in the 31 JAN 2014 Questions & Responses posting.
