3. Mission critical, denoted as MC, facilities shall require late night or weekend outages and have longer lead times for power outage scheduling.
4. Outside normal duty hour OND shall require late night or weekend outages
5. Security notation is intended to inform the contractor that additional layers of security apply to this facility and may cause access for work to move slower than traditionally expected. These facilities should be coordinated in advance for access. The facility manager must be aware at all times of the contractor“ s presence in the facility.
6. It is the sole responsibility of the contractor to coordinate and schedule all power outages through base Civil Engineering work order process. Multiple facility outages can be coordinated on the same day within reason pending staff availability and mission critical activities. This is typically done when several facilities are fed from the same switch or transformer. Each outage will need to be coordinated with the electrical shop and base communications squadron.
7. When installing communications cable within buildings, all cabling must be installed in accordance with the Base Communication S tandard and Appendix 3 AMRS Meter Specification for installation guidelines.
8. No meter shall be connected to the AF network until government provided security settings and firmware upgrades have been installed.
9. If trenching is specified in the design, the contractor must submit a Work Clearance Request, AKA "Dig
Permit", AF Form 1 03 to the base point of contact.
1 0. The final connection to the Air Force switch may have to be performed by the base communications organization. In that event, a six (6) foot patch cord labeled "AMRS EMxxx" shall be left connected to the patch panel in the comm room, third party to make the final connection. It is the responsibility of the contractor to coordinate the installation of the patch cable with the base communication squadron. At that time, the security settings should be installed on the meter, by the contractor, and the communications squadron should be notified, by the contractor, that the port on the switch can be configured for CECOINE.
1 1 . All underground conduit shall be PVC Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 in accordance with UFC 3 -550-01 Exterior Electrical Power Distribution and be installed a minimum of 3 6 inches deep.
1 2. Contractor shall be required to secure flight line badge for the site superintendent whom shall be present for all work occurring on the flight line.
1 3 . Final bleeding and purging of gas lines/ gas meter is the responsibility of the contractor.
1 4. The contractor shall include a spreadsheet in the pre and final commissioning, to annotate the current register reading on any meter with a register removed under this scope. Contractor shall ensure the reading is taken before the meter is decommissioned/removed.
1 5 . All electric meters shall be installed in an interior location unless otherwise noted or approved in the CWP.
1 6. See Appendix 8 for Base Restricted Access Area Requirements 1 7. Execution of work tasks organized in a manner as to limit impact on building occupants and government support staff. This shall include scheduling personnel and preparing equipment needed to complete the tasks, including reasonable contingencies, with minimum site visits
