1. Focused Interest Period

1.1. For the period of 7 February 2024 to 30 March 2024 Air Force CyberWorx has a focused interest in exploring emerging technologies suppor�ng network defense and security opera�ons with an emphasis on securing endpoints within and enterprise, to include the following:

1.1.1. Comply-to-connect and similar authen�ca�on, authoriza�on, and accoun�ng technologies to automate evalua�on, enforcement, remedia�on, and audi�ng of image, configura�on, policy-/signature-level, resource access (and denial) and suspicious behavior.

1.1.2. Tools, techniques, and services such as micro-segmenta�on to iden�fy, prevent, and respond to lateral movement of threats between subnetworks, servers, endpoints, virtual machines, services, applica�ons, and workloads.

1.1.3. Data atribu�on and tagging to allow verifica�on of origin, determine trust, authorize and monitor access/modifica�on/duplica�on/transfer of data and sub-elements. This can be for the direct effect of data security and audi�ng or as a precursor to training a supervised learning system or evalua�ng the efficacy of security tools.

1.1.4. Ar�ficial Intelligence/Machine Learning capabili�es and use cases such as: automated threat detec�on and response, analyst queuing, vulnerability management, file and behavior analysis, forensics, sandboxing techniques, as well as other novel approaches in this field.

1.2. Submission guidelines

1.2.1. Follow same submission guidelines as outlined in the body of the CSO.

1.2.2. Address technology:

1.2.2.1. Installa�on, configura�on, integra�on, and scaling for an air base-level environment in an Air Force Enterprise-like test range:.

1.2.2.2. Demonstra�on over a sustained (6-12 month) trial period.

1.2.2.3. Familiariza�on training of Air Force evaluators and sustainers.

1.3. Response �melines

1.3.1. Submissions during the focused period of interest will receive an ini�al confirma�on of receipt from the contrac�ng officer. Final evalua�on feedback and poten�al requests for follow-up (Phase II) pitches will be released in the first week following the end of the focused interest period.
