# Question Government Response

Could we access the panels for removal and installation from inside the Hangar Bay area with a lift equipment?

No, the government does not allow the usage of lifting equipment from the inside of the Hangar Bay area.

What are the existing roof panel profiles? Information is needed so we can estimate the correct flashing.

The government does not have accurate drawings reflecting the roof panels, however, based on our visual inspection, the panels are corrugated metal coated with asphalt coating

What materials are the existing wall panels made of? EPDM fastened with termination bar at top and bottom (2" air/bat insulation and exterior metal fluted panel)

Please confirm the warranty period for the project? FAR 52.246-21 -- Warranty of Construction shall be added to the contract which states, "This warranty shall continue for a period of 1 year from the date of final acceptance of the work".

What is the required profile of the Centria Formawall Panel for the project?

3" thick insulated metal wall panels 12" in with vertical profile. Centria, Formawall Dimension Series or Equal

Can a copy of Site Visit Attendance Sheet be provided? Site visit sign-in sheet uploaded to www.sam.gov under solicitation #.

We believe that the wall in question is constructed out of (2) separate panels. One interior insulated liner panel and one exterior single skin concealed fastener panel. Can the interior insulated liner panel remain in place and if so would the exterior panel need to be an insulated panel?

No, the interior insulated panel cannot remain in place. Remove existing wall panel, including original panels, double angles, and outer panels, as well as associated flashings, down to existing girts.

Given the existing wall panels are covered over in EPDM membrane, Would there be an opportunity to do a return site visit and open up the EPDM to get a better look at the existing wall and then reseal the existing

EPDM.

No

Per the attached pictures. The existing head flashing cannot be removed without substantially disturbing the roof panels. We propose to cut the existing head flashing and install new break trim behind the existing flashing to remain in place. Will this be acceptable?

No, maintain the fascia and attach to the existing C- Channel (2X4) or add blocking and provide fastening connections.
