FOR
Dobbins Timber Management
Sept 22, 2025
PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS)
Task Title: Dobbins Timber Management
1.0 SCOPE OF SERVICES
The contractor shall provide equipment and crew to cut down and remove trees on Dobbins ARB. The estimate shall be supplied in accordance with the exhibit location (5 CLIN’s). Service shall include stump and perimeter roots removal by completely cutting and grinding all growth to a minimum of 8 inches below grade. Stumps shall begin to be ground within three (3) workdays of tree removal date. Trees and all stump-grinding debris shall not be allowed to accumulate. Remove all trees from the base when each site is completed. The contractor shall backfill with topsoil, compact, and match existing grades. Most trees/shrubbery to be removed have identifiable markings on them (tape/ribbon/paint) or reference the exhibit pictures. Any trees less than six inches in diameter shall be cut and chipped. Spread chipped material throughout the location where these were cut down.
The fam camp area is the first location. This area has 18 individual camping sites which should have the trees within 5ft of each site removed, trees impeding access within the campground area, and along the horse-shoe area. The horseshoe area is adjacent to the “Big Lake” waterway and thus requires the soil within 25ft of the waterway to remain as it is. There are approximately 100 trees in the fam camp areas to be removed. This location is indicated on Exhibit A.
The main gate, B806, B833, B922, and B840 are combined to make up the second location. The main gate area shall remove trees and shrubbery. The other locations are trees only. There are approximately 60 trees and 30 shrubs in the combined locations. These areas are included in Exhibits B1 through B5.
The third location is North and West of B 560, MWR area. There are approximately 110 trees in this location. This location is indicated on Exhibit C1 and C2.
The fourth location is on the airfield between the access road and airfield perimeter fence. This is an area where animals tend to reside should they breach the airfield fence. This location requires coordination with Airfield management and Civil Engineering personnel as escorts will be required in this location. There are approximately 100 trees to be removed in this location. This area is indicated on Exhibit D
